mobs will never dim the eternal hipness of S.F or N.O.
Still, overexposure has rendered both a bit too holy and
Home on the Range-ish. Contrarywise, P-burgh's industrial
armpit rep pisses off its many denizens who know they're
boss and dig having a place called The Iron And Glass Bank.
Homeboy Gary Koteski thinks the town's frigid because, after
working the night shift, steelworkers "go home and watch

Yes..we are a hip town....My husband who passed away on November 30th was a retired steelworker for 30 years and he loved being from the "Steel City"....

Sorry to hear about your husband. But yah, the steelworker's legacy is hip enough. Whenever my boys bring home some buds from college (he goes to Dayton, in Ohio) they leave amazed at the action in South Side, Station Square, Oakland, the Strip. And they like the neighborhood clubs, too. Work hard, play hard. And for those that appreciate the classical and performing arts among us, the Cultural Trust complex in town ain't NYC, but it ain't bad. Lawrenceville is becoming a small urban hub for creative arts, too. And geez, where's the love for Beaver Cleaver?
