Penn Hills fires football coach Neil Gordon

Neil Gordon has been fired as football coach at Penn Hills High School after 22 seasons.
The Penn Hills school board voted Monday night to open Gordon's position, despite a number of successfull seasons and the fact he will have one of the best teams in WPIAL Class AAAA for the 2008 season. The Indians will likely be ranked No. 1 or 2.
"They haven't given him an answer as to why," said Gordon's wife, Melissa.
Gordon won WPIAL and PIAA Class AAAA championships in 1995 and guided the Indians to the WPIAL title game two years ago.
Gordon was not available for comment. |
